A quick jaunt through a new, but familiar, hellscape in the Hellraiser mythos. This little book struck all the cords of nostalgia, catching the reader up with Christy Cotton and her life after her brush with Pinhead. This is not a deep dive tale. There are no lengthy descriptions, discussions or insightful reasonings. It’s just a straight walk down a road Hellraiser fans have walked before, but in a “good” way to me, having seen the movies and read the books and comics. This is a return to basics minus the confusing fantastical that began to muddy the world of the cenobytes. I enjoyed the brief visit.
