This book has more tropes than the ocean of garbage on ID, Oxygen and HLN combined. The people involved in each case are reduced to symbols. The “lit up a room” angel who could do no wrong and has no other personality traits other than “angel.” The “monster” or “diabolical” perpetrator with zero nuance for societal, economic or psychosocial context. The old strawman “plenty of people have trauma and are fine” is repeated ad nauseum. Just listen to 25 episodes of a tacky true crime podcast. You will probably get more out of that.
I like this narrator a lot, but he puts out so much of this sensationalist BS. Be better. How is reading this crap all the time even remotely entertaining?
