Pros: Fantastic and original world creating mechanics that haven’t been seen before. Very creative ideas for the use of magic, and a well-developed world.
Cons: The amount of swearing. Seriously… It starts to become apparent that instead of being creative in developing characters, the author just resorts to characters using really foul language. At times it’s hard to get past, and seriously distracts and takes away from the story. It also really takes away from the creative development of the characters and shows a complete lack of maturity of the author.
These books had the potential to be really great. Instead, it’s a series that will be put on the shelf…
