After spending most of the book in a different hobgoblin town, the climax rushes in. Kind of miss the NPCs from the previous books as they are mostly footnotes in this one. I also got tired of how combat tension was undermined when Orrin would say, “I did X,” then something would happen to him and we’d then get, “What I didn’t say was that before I did X, I did Y,” and that would bring victory from a loss.
