An interesting hypothetical that is a bit improbable, but that is the point. How is one to respond when in authority with great responsibility with little information on a situation that has potential for adverse outcomes. Which is the more important, duty to your responsibilities or duty to your career. While it seems that the system is selfish it’s also selfish to work outside of the system. Seems like an interesting situation for a leader to find balance and for an organization like the U.S. Navy or any similar organization to consider.
