Have you ever watched a SciFi channel movie and spent large chunks of it rolling your eyes or pointing at the TV and saying “that wouldn’t actually happen like that!” or “how convenient they can just magically do that”. well that’s how this book felt to me.
I’m going to give the second book a try and hope that this first book was just a poor attempt to set up a back story for the second book, rather than just jumping in to the bigger story.

Having listened to Joshes other series, this first book didn’t feel like him, but I’m hoping this was one of his earlier books and he learns along the way
