If you enjoyed Harry Potter, you will enjoy the School of Deaths!

Susie Sarnio is the first female Death in a million years. Can you imagine being a 13 year old girl who is slowly withering away one minute, then whisked to another world the next? Susie faces a tough time being the only female in the whole world of Deaths!

Susie vows to make it through the first year, then pass her Final Test and return to home. However, some others have other things in mind!

The story was great, the characters were well-written and the idea was intriguing. Susie makes friends with her housemates, Billy and Jason, and another Death named Frank. When she discovers a hidden library, her whole life changes. Will she be able to prove that evil is afoot at the School?

I enjoyed this book a lot and especially enjoyed following Susie’s journey as she grew from a scared little girl into a truly courageous young woman. The narrator did a great job as well and added a lot to the story.

Thanks to Christopher Mannino for giving us another world of young people to get lost in and enjoy!
