This takes place in the same universe as Unraveling the Threads of Fate, but you don’t need to read one before the other to understand. I enjoyed this book, but it was much scarier than other Alice Winters books I’ve read. The serial killer bad guy is OP and really scary. I liked how Alice used the serial killer’s/ MC’s mind powers to allow us to see how the MCs worst memories shaped them into who they are and overcome trauma. This one is probably more plot heavy than romance, but you still have goofy characters who come together despite the scary serial killer.
