Sadly, this is a story that had to be told.

The worst part, I imagine this happens a LOT more than we know. This book makes you wonder how any kid is ever brave enough to come forward. If they knew what these girls and their families went through, probably none would ever come forward. This is a MUST READ/LISTEN for any parent in my opinion.

The ending did surprise me. That’s all I will say about it as to not give it away.

It is a well written true crime book. If you like them, you’ll like this. It’s not full of salacious detail, just enough to clearly let the story be told. The emotional upheaval described is much more gripping.

Kevin Pierce is definitely my favorite narrator, he makes even dull facts interesting, and I will listen to any crime book he does. In fact him reading a book is a sign to me that the story is worth hearing. In this case it certainty was.
