A conscious AI/NPC female desert runner accepts a job to transport a male player across the desert in her weaponized vehicle. Along the way, they experience challenges. She dislikes players but this one may be different. I liked the characters, enjoyed the romance, and found the world to be quite interesting. I recommend this series, am invested in the characters, and look forward to listening to the sequels.
