First off I purchase the “box set” because it was a good deal for a bundle of crime:suspense:thriller novels performed by someone I know is an excellent voice actor. I mean how bad could it be? Well I’ll tell ya- R E A L L Y bad. As in these are all childish romance novels masked as crime:suspense:thriller novels. The plots are repetitive across novels / only the names change. The author spends inordinate time on the relationship between main male character and main female character. So much in fact it is challenging to piece together the actual story. I suffered through three 1/2 of the 4 books in the bundle simply because I didn’t want to feel like I Wasted a credit to purchase, yet that is precisely what I feel occurred. Note to self: trust not reviews, nor unknown authors.
