I began this book on the day an unprecedented heatwave was to hit London with temperatures of 105° and above. The coincidence stunned me and supercharged my listening of the opening chapters. Usually I’m not keen on multiple narrators, but given the book’s structure and the skillful, meaningful narration, I cannot imagine this book read any other way.
I don’t write reviews often. This book is exceptional, whether one loves sci-fi or is interested in our changing climate, (which he manages to present without stridency).
