Richly detailed historical novel.

This is a richly detailed story, full of interesting characters and imaginative adventures. The historical aspect alone makes this a worthwhile read, but it is also full of love, romance, and the beauty of music in the midst of the chaotic world around us.

As a history lover and a music lover, I found this a very rewarding read. At times, I felt as though I were there sharing in the experiences of the characters.

I listened to the audio version, which is narrated by the author. She did a really good job with the narration, but I think I might have enjoyed the story a bit more, had I been reading it rather than listening.

Definitely a recommended read, especially if you like historical novels.
