I take seriously the strong rejection of the total PASSIVISM AND DETERMINISM presented as the teaching of Christ and the church..I am VERY CONSCIOUS that I am refuting a saint. but he is wrong …The totality of this teaching lacks healthy complexity and disregard of other devine truths that affect the view that ABSOLUTELY EVERYTHING is the will of God..not permitted by god, but DESIRED by God. this I’s Islam, not Christ..There is much truth here,but at the lack of other truths..this is the definition of heresy.. we see the evil of PACIFISM in the french during ww2. thank the Father in heaven this is not truth and those who were wiser did not accept Hitlers actions as Gods will. JESUS didn’t seem to accept the money changers and sellers of sacrificial animals as Abbas will or approved of or even desired as Gods will. I wonder if Jesus would say it’s the Fathers will every time a priest of the church sexually rapes a 8 year old boy…did he not say what would happen to one who would hurt one of these little ones….Hardly the will of God….CHRISTIAN PASSIFISM and the teachings that created it are very destructive… Those who spiritualized the denial of pure evil and human evil are living with one eye open becouse true evil is ugly and upsetting and creates feelings that men like this author think are not good or important, like anger and sadness and fear, ect…Jesus lived each of these feelings to there. Fullest at moments they were appropriate…what? Jesus afraid. yes, in the garden sweating blood when seeing his father’s will of his crucifixion…being at PEACE every moment is ridiculous and desiring it is a sin…Buddhism seeks this…not Christ…he showed anger,rage even, confrontation, violence, sadness, anxiety, annoyance, ect..He did NOT show denial of human evil…..or distrusted or doubted Abbas will for him…
So apparently, by this book, Jesus needed spiritual development….NO, NO, NO…we are to love the evil PERSON, AND ARE TO HATE HIS EVIL ACTIONS..
THE father does use consequence of human evil to create a good FOR THOSE WHO TRUST HIM, but that is NOT his plan( the evil consequence I mean) for those who love him totally he weaves the terrible things to give a gift ..but he would have given the gift fuller without the evil…
the Churches teaching of why God permits human evil is this( greatly simplified) . Free will in humans is necessary for his goal to make saints of us…Sons and daughters from children…this requires total choice which requires the potential of becoming a evil demon….he allows human evil as a necessity to create devine children.. This is Catholicism…….
