I will have to go back and listen to book One again as to figure out why I enjoyed this in the first place. The voice acting was awful, especially the female voices, which were so grating to me, that I would rather have read this book, than listened to it. The story seems to have no direction and the first seven chapters are mostly about a mantis turning into a maid, or butler. I also have to admit that the “Dumb machismo male” tropes and the constant “woke-type” references are just not enjoyable to me. On top of that, I agree with other reviewers in saying that nine hours is not worth the price, when I can get a book like Iron Prince for the same credit
