I’ve been enjoying apocalyptic fiction for the past year, but was getting overwhelmed by the amount of EMP-based story lines. Weather the Storm is a survivalist tale but is based on aberrant weather behavior as opposed to the after effects of an electromagnetic pulse attack. Characters are realistic and well developed. The story lines that follow multiple characters come together in surprising ways. The narration is excellent. With so many different characters it was challenging to switch from one distinct “voice” to the next, but Andrew Tell did an exceptional job. I enjoyed this series, and will look for more books by Kenny Soward and Mike Kraus.
