This is a different one. I haven’t listened to very many paranormal M/M romance or any other werewolf romance books, or any other books by this author, but this one was interesting. If you want a book that is very heavy on sex, and relativity light on the relationship side of the story, this is the book for you.
I have to admit, the first 5-7 hours were partially disturbing to me because of how the “relationship” started. Yes, the non consensual consensuality was arousing, but this was the first story I’ve listened to that had that kink, especially at the very beginning.
But it’s worth the listen. I knew it would be.
The last 4-5 hours (around the time they went to Alaska) was where I really enjoyed it. I like BDSM stories, but the consensuality part of this story was not my thing.
Overall, the first third or so of this book required me to suspend almost all of my belief, which I didn’t really like. The last third was exactly what I like. The middle third was what it was. By then I was committed to finishing it, and had made peace with suspending as much belief as required, so it was OK.
I do recommend this book because I like the narrators, 3-some stories, and Steve’s story. There are several other parts I enjoyed too, but I don’t want to include many spoilers, even this far into the review.
