Summary –

Multi-Millionaire Dexter Graham hasn’t left his home in years. Why? He’s a powerful telepath and when he’s around others, he can hear every thought they have. It gets overwhelming, at times. When he gets a surprise visit from his beloved grandmother’s ghost, she urges him to pack a few things and head to Cat’s Paw Cove to reunite with his brother, Dylan. He arrives and meets Ynez, a jinni and a brilliant chef. The attraction is immediate, and the best part is that Dexter can’t hear her thoughts. As Dexter and Dylan explore their magical heritage, danger stalks Ynez. Can Dexter protect her from an unseen enemy, or will he be too late?

Narrator’s overall voice –

Rebecca Winder is back for another installment in Sharon Buchbinder’s series and this time, Rebecca has more colourful characters to portray. Narrator’s impact on reading experience –

Rebecca Winder truly makes this story come alive. I found myself cleaning a bookshelf several times while listening.

The pacing is even with natural ebbs and flows, like when I read a story. Rebecca slows down when the scene needs to and picks up when the action deems it so. Her natural pace is perfect, at least for this listener.

Audiobook flow –

The audiobook flows well, as does the story. Both Sharon Buchbinder and Rebecca Winder work well to make the story come alive.
