I started this series with this book. Although I was able to follow what was going on with little problem, I kept feeling like I should have listened to the first book before this one. It was more of a desire to get to know where Salem came from more than anything. In fact, now that I’m writing this review, I’m finding myself deciding to go ahead and do so. Anyway, I was able to enjoy this book by itself, but I’m thinking it would be better to listen in order to get the full experience.
