The trend in cinema style audiobooks is not in itself bad.
What is bad, especially in this title was the use of ‘muffled voice effects’ in a critical moment.
I had to replay that moment multiple times at max volume to try and make out what was said. In the end, it was through context clues similar to cryptography that saw me through.
This cost the title a star.
Producers: don’t alienate those with less than normal hearing. It’s rude, and it is illegal.
