This was a slow burn, but over all I liked it. The world building was good, but I did get confused with some of the plot lines that wont be resolved until the next book(s). I also could have used a few more intimate moments between the two main characters, but that’s just my personal preference. 🔥🐲
The narrators were ok. I liked Sarah Puckett much more than Alexandre Steele. His voice was too gruff most of the time and lacked any nuance for accents. What bothered me the most though was the abrupt changes between narrators in the same chapter. It would have been ok if they did a duet style, but this was all dual style so it was just jarring to have a chapter abruptly switch narrator midway.
Overall, I was still happy with it and I will be continuing the series. Definitely recommend giving it a listen.
