Warning NARRATION IS HORRIBLE! BUT THE STORY IS GOOD ENOUGH TO TRY AND IGNORE THAT IF YOU CAN! USUALLY, IF THE NARRATOR IS HORRIBLE. I DON’T MAKE IT THAT FAR. BUT THE STORY WAS INTERESTING ENOUGH TO HAVE ME OVERLOOKING THE FACT THAT THE VOICE accents. SOMETIMES HE SOUNDED LIKE A SPORTS CHARACTER IN THE VERY FIRST FEW MINUTES HE SOUNDS LIKE A BAD IMITATION DRACULA! The whole time I listen to the very first few minutes of the main vampire Lord of Willow Creek talking. I kept getting flashes of that old black and white Dracula movie where the guy stands there and says, “the children of the night. What sweet music they make.” And it’s black-and-white and then he cackles I could not get that famous movie scene out of my head the whole time. If there if I found anything wrong with this series. It is that one fact that the narrator drove me absolutely bonkers and switching between the completely overdone think Romanian monster accent a sports newscaster and I couldn’t figure out what he was going for with to which it sounded like an overdone Blanche Devereaux accent. And the fact that he makes the heroine sometimes sound like an aging drag queen. If the storyline wasn’t intriguing. I wouldn’t have made it past the first few chapters, but I became engrossed in the attitude of the two main characters and kept telling myself. Maybe it would get better and then when the two characters, Remi and Sabine interact with each other. I decided I would just have to go with it because I wanted to see where was going to go. I will purchase these for my permanent library because I read them with the romance package first, but I’ve decided that the worth keeping. I won’t lie and say I don’t wish there isn’t another narrator available that is the only actual problem I see with this particular series is I just do not like the way the narrator did this one!

Willow Creek, to me Willow Creek reminds me of a combination of Mystic Falls, Morganville and Bon Temps. Oh, it has its own twists and turns in fucked up happenings, but the story an environment reminds me of a mashup of places and I love the way that humor comments are worked in like everyone is expecting Damon Salvatore for the fact that the younger sister gets her older sister Eric the Viking T-shirt. I was actually laughing when I pictured that will the twists and turns on the concepts that this author comes up with are quite fascinating to me. I immediately took a liking to the character Sabine. She does have her whiny moments from time to time but if you take into her account age and circumstance, you can basically begin to see why she might have. I absolutely love the back-and-forth banter in the beginning between her and Remington love watching their relationship progressed through all the things that they face and to know that more ship is coming and watching how they handle these things as they come in seriously hated to see them three come to an end. It’s like having some of my favorites all rolled up into one Sookie/Eric, Elaina/Damon with Claire from Morganville all rolled into one very entertaining read!
