I read a bunch of reviews on this book. I really hoped they would be wrong. They suggested skipping it. But I wanted to hear the world building and see if the story was necessary. It is my opinion that you can skip this book and not loose anything in the story. With that said, I think I’ll give a couple of things below in case people want to skip the book. The book really rambles a bunch.

*SPOILER WARNING*

The book goes into details of Artorian fixing the world inside Cal’s soul space. If you’ve read the “The Completionist Chronicles” you will see that the soul space he is creating is the world in which that series is written.

Lots of different “continents” or “worlds” are created inside this soul space. And they each get their distinct feel. Each of these worlds has a supervisor based on one of the inner circle of mages from the Dale’s time. These beings are generally “gods” of these areas and grow based on norse mythology or gods from the “Completionist Chronicles”.

There is lots of broken items in the worlds due to Cal being an imperfect being trying to create a universe for the first time with little experience and everyone being thrown into it with not enough prep time. Artorian and his “supervisor/gods” try to help w/these issues.

The “supervisors” end up creating/managing the people in their “worlds” in unique ways and have “named ones” that they give power to help them.
