I’ve gotta be honest, if not for the romance package, I never would have chosen this book; for the cost of a credit. After reading the summary, I was very skeptical. The storyline seemed pretty silly. An alien romance is always a tough sell on me. I have listened to a couple that I thought were excellent but, it’s not first, second or third choice of genre. I’m glad I gave this book a chance.
The first part of the book was very touching and even though I hadn’t had a chance to get invested into the characters, yet, I shed more than a few tears. The second section, of the book started the romance and adventure part of the book and I found myself really getting into the story and characters. For some reason, I thought there were more than two books available, from this series, unfortunately that is not the case. I did enjoy the two books that were available and the end of book two set up a story for a next book so I will being keeping an eye our for a continuation of this series.
