I found the first book tolerable, the world was interesting. The 2nd book dropped a little in quality, but still kept me because of the world. The third book devolved quickly into some fairly explicit and sensitive topics that I don’t think the author has the mastery to handle.

If I was to sum up the problem with this book it would be that nothing exists except for the purpose to directly challenge or satisfy the main character. The author has surrounded the main character with women whose bodies are described in great detail, but their motivations aren’t given any thought. The enemies have no nuance.

The performance is great though. Have to give it to them!
