I frankly don’t remember how this book ended up on my wish list, but I’m so glad it did. I enjoyed the narrators and didn’t think the early progression was slow. As a respiratory therapist, I spent 2020-2022 immersed in the world of COVID and, subsequently, listening to everyone’s gripes about masks, vaccinations, life, etc., but I also watched so many people die. I have a pretty good knowledge of the Spanish flu, its supposed origins and devastation, but I had no idea that masks, isolation, etc. were a part of life. I checked the publication date TWICE to verify that the book was written prior to 2020. This will be my recommendation to all of my patients who have politicized COVID. Thank you!
