I’m a fan of lit rpg. I have to admit to devouring the genre.
I can sort of see the appeal of Death Cultivator. I have the feeling that those that spend the money on tickets to an Transformer movie would be entertained by this story.
What gets me is the lack of coherent plot… which is okay. The story keeps switching back and forth between real time and dream states. Which is confusing. But then the whole story arc is confusing as well.
For better material in this genre, I’d suggest Pirateaba’s Wandering Inn
