Firstly, quick thoughts: This story shares a lot of similarities with Sword Art Online. You like it you’ll probably like this.

My first desire when reading a litRPG is that the protagonist is likeable. Vincent is definitely that. It helps a lot that he’s a septuagenarian in a young man’s body; the dude always keeps his cool.

The only negatives I can list are that the LitRPG elements are a bit uninspired. Specifically, loot. I don’t get that vicarious joy from seeing the characters get awesome loot for their amazing feats (this may change in later books, given they’re still technically at early mid-game when the story concludes). Also, given how small each world is, and how focused the party are with grinding, I don’t get that feeling of exploration and wonder either.

The main villain is very cringey too. Light spoiler on my final thoughts about him, so skip up next paragraph if you’d rather not know:
** Give me a charismatic genius over a derranged lunatic on a power trip any day. It would make the conclusion way more satisfying.**

Finally, I had a big issue with the epilogue. I can’t say why because the ‘why’ is the reason I have issues with it. I can say it’s very spoilery for the rest of the trilogy by letting you infer some pretty big truths.

Enjoyed it by and large. I’ll stick around for the rest.
