Over all the book is pretty good but at about the 2/3 mark it goes from a solid story with a realistic ending to a Micheal Bay movie. It seems laughable to call a book about a Kaiju unrealistic but it really is. If you think you can stomach the ending, the story may be worth the effort but if Hollywood storylines with ham fisted endings aren’t your thing then skip this one.
