This isn’t a book I probably would have picked up on my own, but I was given a copy in exchange for a review. While it wasn’t my favorite, it was good enough to keep me entertained, especially during the second half. This book was a slow start for me and took a while to get in to. I find it hard to enjoy a book when the main characters don’t meet in the beginning or at least have positive interactions if they don’t meet. The enemies to lovers trope isn’t my favorite, but I enjoy Joel Leslie as a narrator, and he helped keep me going. The elevator scene was turning point in the book for me. They finally met in person, and the book got better from there on. The chemistry between the two once they met was hot. Overall, I’m happy to have been able to listen to the book.
