Mostly, this is a book without anything new to say. The jabs at superhero tropes aren’t particularly original or clever. The story was just ok. And the characters, except for 1, were entirely forgettable.
Where The Sidekicks Initiative shines though is humor. The jokes all land. The author is hilarious and the narrator was fantastic, especially with comedic delivery.
