This book series was awful. To begin with the narration was overly articulated so much so that it was distracting from the story. I turned up the speed and it did help. However, the story went downhill from there. The story is divided into “good” and “bad” people. There were no ordinary, everyday people just trying to survive the apocalypse. The 1st book had a character who decided he was going to imitate the video games he had played all of his life and, with no real life skills, managed to kill several people, one of which WAS a soldier/prepper type because he turned his back on him. In an apocalypse. After a major terroristic attack. It was ridiculous. There were several instances of this in the first book. The second book started off even worse. I was a couple of hours in when I gave up. I am beyond the return window but I don’t even care. I can’t force myself to listen to it any longer.
