Taken from your world and put into a game between gods, and the only way to return home is to become a snake oil salesman peddling a religion to your kidnapper. Lee has to start a religion and help cement a power base for the god that controls his future. What starts as something he despises leads to revelations that he was missing adventure in his life, and he finds plenty of it in the War Aeturnus.
The narration by Jeff Hays is top rate as is all of his work. I cannot say I was expecting a zealot sidekick who sounds like Conan era Arnold and is bloodthirst as hell(it is pure craziness). Jeff Hays has a great range of voices and effects, and always make his readings sound like voice acted plays.
The world is fun, and the system he is stuck within is fairly interesting. It has a fun cast of characters and an engaging story, that gets more interesting the further in it gets. I look forward to reading more adventures of Lee and his followers.
