Apocalypse Machine is written by Jeremy Robinson. The narration is provided by Jeffrey Kafer. Jeremy Robinson has written a unique post-apocalyptic thriller in the sub-genre of Kaiju thriller with the audiobook the Apocalypse Machine. The story of the next extinction-level event like what killed the dinosaurs mixed with a little bit of the Book of Genesis makes for some compelling storytelling for the listener.

The story holds the listener’s attention from the very beginning of the story in Iceland as the group of scientist’s and Abe (the travel adventure photographer) is there for the volcanic eruption that starts the chain of events. The story jumps from different characters points of view something normally I dislike but worked for this story. The wide and varied cast of characters creates a worldview of the breakdown of everything throughout the story to its ultimate climax. The story kept my attention and I highly recommend this unique story from the author.

The narration provided by Mr. Kafer was just an outstanding performance. The voices for the characters were unique and memorable and the emotions displayed were heartfelt and honest to the story. The production quality of this audiobook is also of the highest quality. I heard no problems during the entire performance. There were not any detectable flaws that I was able to hear during the entire performance such as loops, breaks, or buzzing. The production was crisp and clear. Breakneck Media delivered an excellent audiobook production. I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.
