Perhaps a little too happy?
I feel like this author wanted to make a nice story that showcased happy family life. The premise is interesting, but lacking somewhere… I’m not sure where exactly… too simple for a main character that is so complex? Family too easily just says… ” well, he’s smart so all of this weirdness is ok,”. Suffers from a little too much whiteness as well. Every girl is Raven haired/Auburn haired blue/green eyed alabaster skinned beauty… but thankfully, there are no Aiden’s. I only noticed one Brown person so far. Maybe they’re just in about part of the country and he hasn’t gotten there yet. Maybe it’s rare? Tell me it’s rare.
Main character is a little too OP. You say, he’s 8 years old but he rarely suffers from 8 Year old problems.
I like it, I just fall out of it because I’m not given a reason to stay in it sometimes, I’m just supposed to assume everyone is dumb or doesn’t pay attention. I never sense that he is in danger.
