There is no sense of urgency. If you like slice of life manga, you might enjoy this book. Travis Baldree does a fantastic job, but the materiel is subpar.

Also, there is very little magic, if that makes any sense. You could remove cultivation from this book altogether, and it would be a normal martial arts wuxia book. There really isn’t any chi stuff or cultivation going on… mostly just martial arts styles and daily training with the sword. Not my thing…

First book was much better. Cultivation is about discovery and progress. Not doing mundane jobs to secure a revenue stream.
