Perhaps the best post SHTF books I’ve read

The scenario for the systems collapse was so much more believable than most post-apocalyptic books. Most Americans are blissfully unaware of how vulnerable our systems are, and would die following a near total systems collapse.

Those who trust in help coming from the govt if the whole thing melts down is a recipe for failure.

And most who think they are prepared are woefully unrealistic about what would be required. Jim, one of the main characters in this series, gives many good ideas, but in the end knows that nothing is enough to be ‘safe’ in such times.
