I never, and I do mean never, write reviews on audiobooks but I couldn’t let this one go. The story itself is OK, it is NOT in the "Fifty Shades" league by a long shot but i finished it.
It is the performers that had me thisclose to returning it. The male voice kept reminding me of those black and white, old time detective films. I kept waiting for him to say"I saw the shadow on the glass in my door and thought this time there is no escape". It was very distracting. The female voice was almost worse, whiny with inflections misplaced causing me to wince with every sentence.
The amount of mispronounced words in the book is astounding! Are these books reviewed before they are published?
