A creative way of expressing the sadness and frustration of the demise of our world that is occurring before us, using endearing characters that we cared about and villains for whom we wanted to see a rapid end, all without beating us over the head with talking points. The novel resonated so well with me and I’m sure with any who grew up during a time that presaged endless possibilities only to see it wrecked by the worst creatures on earth, the arrogant ignorati who always destroy what they claim they want to save.
