The MC is absolutely annoying for the majority of the book, it explains why but it’s still frustrating at times. The important female role is underwhelming, just feels like she’s there to show the MC’s benevolence with most interactions.

The MC supposedly knows nothing of the “Framework” (new interface system) but also knows a lot about it?

The premise is pretty interesting, if not executed the best, in my opinion. Over-explains certain aspects of the MC, (he’s very quiet, I get it) and reiterates some things without need. I prefer an author who trusts the reader to remember why he do certain extraordinary acts. Despite that, it’s intrigued me enough to pick up the second book.
