One of the main characters, Sam, is a very pathetic characters. It also boggles my mind, why the government treats Sam the way they do in the beginning. When they said it was a comedy, I thought they meant funny.
Not to give anything away, but Sam is a worthless, stupid, and pathetic human being. He is so whinny, it is so annoying.
