This starts off a little slow and kinda boring, but then picks up once the limpet shows up and proceeds to keep getting better. By the time the book ends, you’re invested and really like the characters. Plus the puns are so bad, they’re great! The narration is very good and I didn’t have any trouble telling the characters apart. If you’re not into cultivation, cool, because this is a D&D arch litch pissing on Xianxia bullshit, and it’s wonderful! The story also reads like a mystery since Harold wakes up not knowing what happened in the past 2 millenia that caused the system (think litRPG gaming stats) to transform into all this cultivator nonsense and he’s determined to find out because SCIENCE! All in all, it was fun and I recommend this book.
