The story seems written by a middle schooler with the expected angst and frustration of the age. Everything is predictable and over the top, especially his unprecedented rate of advancement and power gains (even if provided by a god). Even the narrator sounds comically fitting of the “depth” of the storyline. I’m astounded this is so well rated, let alone the amount of volumes in this series! I have well over 300 audiobooks in my Audible library, and this is most definitely at or near the bottom.
