Yes, I nearly didn’t get this book because of the title, but I am so glad I did. It is a seriously fun sci-fi space adventure with alien planets, giant disgusting creepy insect creatures. Also hunky space marines and oh my my sexy space cats!!

Yes this is m/m romance with interracial alien romance galore.

Its about Carter, who is a space marine who is captured and becomes a prisoner of the alien insects who have overtaken home planet of the Pykh and Siel who are also enslaved by the alien bug race who use them for labor, food and other things..eww.

Pykh was born enslaved to the bugs who he thinks of as the “masters”, and Siel is his older lover who had a mysterious life “before”, but is now Pykh’s mentor, lover, friend and cage mate.

They both scent and claim Carter as soon as he is captured, saving his life and protecting him from the bugs. They have a canyon wide language gap in this book, but somehow the guys manage to communicate most of the basics. With POV from all three guys, we get insight into the misunderstandings in language barrier, which are sometimes pretty funny.

While the first couple of chapters were somewhat hard to get into, by the end of the story I was immediately ready to download book 2. I am now an avid fan of this series and can’t wait for the further adventures of Pykh, Carter and Seil.
