I personally felt the first half or so of the book was a slog to get through. The action takes a while to get to and the first several chapters are what I think is a boomer’s idea of what people like about post apocalyptic stories, constant blabbering about furniture, and how this is gonna affect their finances and blah blah blah. The second half is far more interesting hearing about the groups survival. I found the narrator’s voice quite whiny at times and I think he might need a better microphone that doesn’t produce so much feedback when he puts on a higher pitch voice. You can definitely do better for one credit though.
