Spoiler free review:
I love this series SO much. Easily my top 2 favorite series. I could go on and on about the things I liked/disliked about the book but at the end of the day that just shows how much I love the book and how excited I am for the next one to come out. I mean, I did finish listening to it on the 1st day after all.
There is one main gripe I had, that most critics probably harp on, is that overall the structure of this book suffered especially compared to Underlord. Underlord felt like a complete story, we’re introduced to the plot in the beginning and there’s a real resolution at the end. Uncrowned does not feel that way at all – don’t want to spoil how that is, so you’ll have to RAFO. I’m sure we’ll get book 8 relatively soon though so that will probably feel like Uncrowned: Part 2 (in a good way).
