I love this trilogy and it captivated me all the way through. The narrator was outstanding. I found myself thinking about my own situation if I were placed in this story as it’s very easy to do. I enjoyed hearing about some basic survival techniques and it made me realize that there’s a lot more to learn. The only negative thing I can say about this Trilogy was the very end of the third book. You never got any real closure of several key issues regarding the bad guys. We never really knew what happened to Rorke although it was addressed VERY generically. I would like to have heard about the terror in his mind has as he met his end. You never found out what happened to Spike, the self-proclaimed Sheriff of the Texas town, or Snag, his 2nd in command. And the biggest cliffhanger was you never found out what happened to the president that killed off his predecessors so he could reign terror on the rest of the United States community. I didn’t like being left hanging on those issues.
