This is a book nestled right in my favorite genre. The recent explosion of post-apocalyptic fiction is great for me. I can’t get enough.
The author does an great job of the character development. By the end, you feel like you’ve known these characters for years. The only thing I did not like was how it jumped. Even with that I gave 5 stars for the story. I was able to follow the storyline with some concentration. The story weaves and intertwines so wonderfully. And the twists caught me by surprise (which is a feat)
Kudos to the narrator on his job of giving distinctive voices to each character. Even small ones who only appear for moments.
Overall I did thoroughly enjoy the book and look forward to listening to the next installment.
