Coming from a family that has lived in Idaho for generations, I found this book particularly intriguing and took great interest in listening to it. However, I noticed a tendency in the narrative where the author seemed to lean towards the guilt of the suspect awaiting trial. This approach, in my opinion, limited the opportunity for readers to form their own interpretations, which would have added depth to the reading experience. Despite this, the book’s
research and exploration of the topic were overall pretty good. I would’ve liked to see more in-depth information on why there are so many internet sleuths that feel that there is more to the story. Let me be clear: I’m not trying to argue whether the accused is innocent or guilty. My point is that the book should have delved deeper into why there’s national and even global concern about the investigation’s integrity, and the reported corruption in Moscow and now verified corruption in Pullman Washington.
