Unsouled is goofy. Its not up to the near 5 star average its gotten.

This story has some good aspects. The world building is partly interesting. Getting to understand how magic works here was worth the time.

But almost everything else is lacking. The story about a young man who is outcast from society only to find that his gifts are special & that he is in reality that societies hero… well that has been done countless times before. If you are looking for something like that Branden Sanderson is a better author.

Will Wight jumps to this alien being over and over… or maybe its not alien but enlightened. They have god like powers. Every time Wight shifts to this character, the story felt like it was falling apart.

Poor character development. Characters with the power of greek gods. A silly plot line & lack of a solid ending. In the end this is a book worth skipping.
